Coordinators

Loïc RAJJOU (AgroParisTech - Université Paris-Saclay) and Christine LELANDAIS-BRIERE (Université Paris Cité).

Prerequisites

Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences’ level in biostatistics, physiology, molecular biology, biochemistry. Knowledge of the principles of high throughput approaches of the " omics " type.

Objective

At the end of this course, students should be able to use softwares for processing and statistical analysis of "omic" type data; be able to design an experiment to validate the results and propose a mini research project on a biological question.

Content

The study of plants and their functioning requires the implementation of multi-scale approaches and the integration of increasingly complex data. During this TU, students in workshops (in small groups) will have to: 1) analyze a set of experimental data from a research laboratory, 2) select relevant results (from literature), 3) design an experiment to validate these results and then 4) propose a mini research project accordingly.
Tutorials/Practicals (on computer): Analyses of omic data;
Tutorials : Design of the validation experiment and estimation of corresponding costs;
Personal work: Writing of the data analysis report and the mini-project; Preparation of the oral presentation of the workshop report.
